Individual Giving Survey (2016)

National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC)'s Individual Giving Survey 2016 found that giving is on the rise. The volunteerism rate has increased from 18% in 2014 to 35% with informal volunteerism doubling from 25% in 2014 to 51%. This positive trend was also observed in total volunteer hours and donation amounts. Volunteer hours has increased from 66 million hours in 2014 to 121 million hours in 2016. Donations to organisations has almost doubled from $1.25 billion in 2014 to $2.18 billion in 2016.

Individual Giving Survey (2014)

National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC)'s Individual Giving Survey 2014 found that individuals in Singapore have demonstrated a strong commitment to give, with total donation amounts at a high of S$1.25 billion, a 14% rise from the amount of S$1.10 billion in 2012. While the national volunteerism rate dropped to 17.8% in 2014, the average volunteer hours grew to 93 hours compared to 72 hours in the 2012 survey.
