Research Analyst

Impact

You will be conducting national level market research on volunteerism and philanthropy, and analysing data and trends on giving to inform and influence key stakeholders, ranging from internal stakeholders in NVPC to external partners such as government agencies, non-profits, companies and funders.

As part of the team, you will also be involved in our growing work in data analytics to maximise the use of our data from various sources, including online giving platform and web traffic.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-to-end quantitative and qualitative research projects such as large scale landscape study of giving behaviour and attitudes among individuals and corporates.
  • For each project, responsibilities include conceptualisation of research brief, conducting fieldwork (via market research agency or internal project team), data processing, data analysis and developing written reports and presentations to make recommendations for internal and external stakeholders to inform and strengthen strategies and practices.
  • Involve in end-to-end data analytics projects from business understanding, to data understanding, data preparation, modelling, evaluation and to deployment.
  • Conduct secondary research and literature reviews on volunteerism and philanthropy.
  • Support collaborative research and data analytics work with partners such as government agencies, institute of higher learning.

Requirements

  • Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business or other related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a market research, survey or related role, preferably in a research agency or institute
  • Proficient in research methods and process and statistical analysis
  • Proficient in SPSS.
  • Strong written skills in English.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Curiosity and interest in looking for data and statistics that creates value.
