Knowledge and Advocacy Full-time - Permanent


You will keep a close ear to the ground to identify and track emerging issues in specific causes (e.g. mental health, environment), both through secondary research as well as active relationships with a diverse range of actors, such as non-profit leaders, sector experts and practitioners.

You will also be conducting quantitative and qualitative research and analysing data and trends on giving to inform and influence key stakeholders, ranging from internal stakeholders in NVPC to external partners such as government agencies, non-profits, companies and funders.

  • Lead project team in end-to-end qualitative research projects to deepen understanding of existing needs and gaps in society by (i) diving into key sectors in Singapore and (ii) identifying emerging areas of needs
  • Support project team to manage and conduct end-to-end quantitative and qualitative research projects, such as large scale landscape study of non-profit leadership
  • For each project, responsibilities include conceptualisation of research brief, conducting fieldwork (via market research agency or internal project team), data processing, data analysis and developing reports and presentations to make recommendations for internal and external stakeholders to inform and strengthen strategies and practices.
  • Manage collaborative research projects with partners such as government agencies and institutes of higher learning


  • Bachelor Degree in Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, or other social sciences
  • At least 6-8 years of experience
  • Strong experience in qualitative research and some experience in quantitative research
  • Background in market research agency or academic think tank is advantageous
  • Exposure and experience with social issues, community building and engagement
  • Proven experience in project management and stakeholder management.
  • Strong research and interview skills with a good understanding of community and social issues
  • Proven experience in one or more of the following research methods: ethnography, behavioral insights, design thinking
  • Working level proficiency in SPSS or other research analysis software
  • Able to build partnerships and possess well-developed relationship management skills
  • Excellent project management skills
