Impact

You will be managing national level quantitative and qualitative market research on volunteerism, philanthropy and non-profit leadership. Analysing data and trends on giving to inform and influence key stakeholders, ranging from internal stakeholders in NVPC to external partners such as government agencies, non-profits, companies and funders.

You will also be involved in our growing work in data analytics to maximise the use of our data from various sources, including online giving platform and web traffic.

We know the power of data to help us enhance non-profit leadership, to galvanise more to give of their time, talent and treasure and to empower those who are already giving to deepen and broaden their giving.

We seek motivated candidates with the passion to make NVPC a data-driven organisation, to carry out meaningful work at the intersection of non-profit, public and private sectors and to make a difference at national level.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage end-to-end quantitative and qualitative research projects such as large scale landscape study of non-profit leadership, large scale landscape study of giving behaviour and attitudes among individuals and corporates.
  • For each project, manage responsibilities ranging from conceptualisation of research brief, conducting fieldwork (via market research agency or internal project team), data processing, data analysis to developing written reports and presentations to make recommendations for internal and external stakeholders to inform and strengthen strategies and practices.
  • Manage collaborative research and data analytics work with partners such as government agencies and institutes of higher learning.

Requirements

  • Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, Business Analytics, or other related fields.
  • At least 4 to 5 years of experience in a market research, survey, or related role. Managerial experience would be a bonus.
  • Proficient in quantitative research methods and process and statistical analysis.
  • Proficient in SPSS.
  • Proficient in qualitative research methods and process, especially in-depth interview and focus group discussions.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to think laterally to synthesise a wide range of information into meaningful insights.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Curiosity and interest in looking for data and information that creates value.

We seek candidates for a position on a one-year contract. Extension or other longer-term positions can also be explored.
