The incumbent shall drive the development and implementation of the Marketing and Communications strategies to

  • actively shape the culture of giving in Singapore, so that giving is selfless, instinctive and intuitive.
  • champion and celebrate the spirit of giving through impactful branding, marketing and events that capture public imagination.
  • multiply acts of giving by encouraging storytelling, conversations and constructive engagement in everyday contexts.

You will be a brand custodian, voice of values and beliefs that drive NVPC in promoting giving as a way of life. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to position NVPC across key channels and audiences, through acclimatising the environment, identifying influencers and stories, and inculcating norms, rituals and icons.

You will be a key member of the Senior Management team, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and leading a team of talented, vibrant and creative members.

Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

1. Oversee all Marketing, Communications & Public Relations activities, including brand messaging, press relations, pitching articles, proactive and purposed media responses, situational responses, publications and campaigns to capitalise on relevant opportunities in the giving space.

2. Develop and implement full Marketing, Communications and Branding strategies to influence stakeholder mindset change and to drive positive change towards giving. Promote greater awareness and engagement on Giving.sg digital advertising, partnerships and collaborations.

3. Lead social media communications through monitoring latest developments on social tools, applications, channels and developing strategies to increase effective engagement

4. Steward NVPC’s brand architecture and ensure that all digital assets, collaterals, presentations and publications have strong and consistent branding.

5. Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all NVPC marketing materials

6. Conceptualise and manage all NVPC’s key events

7. Work with/Support the leadership team to develop and deliver effective Marketing and Communications strategies to promote the spirit of giving.

8. Raise awareness of the giving space and ensure that NVPC is positioned as an authority and inspiring advocate on giving.


Team Management

9. Lead and drive strategic direction for the Marketing and Communications Team

10. Provide leadership and build a high performing and engaged Team to achieve the desire outcomes

11. Responsible for staff development, hiring for the team, disciplinary and team performance management

12. Develop and oversee team goals, budgets, policies and timelines for the Team.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor degree in Comms, PR, Journalism or relevant discipline
  2. At least 10 years of experience with proven track record in delivering successful media/sales/marketing/advocacy campaigns to agreed targets.
  3. A demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, develop and direct professional-level employees
  4. Proven editorial skills. Outstanding command of English language.
  5. Superb presentation and communication skills.
  6. Strong intuition on what audiences need to know and how they want to consume it, with ability to engage with audiences across generations.
  7. Demonstrated strong leadership skills by establishing clear goals, objectives and priorities that communicate the organization's vision.
  8. Excellent relationship building and negotiating skills.
  9. Ability to work under tight and changing deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a strong attention to detail and in a timely manner.
  10. Ability to work collaboratively with peers across different functions.
