Knowledge and Advocacy Full-time - Permanent


We are looking for curious and passionate social investigators!

You will be part of the Qualitative Insights Pillar in the Knowledge and Advocacy Team. Our mandate is to broaden and deepen the understanding of the giving space in Singapore by going ‘under the skin’ of individuals, corporates and leaders. Together with our Quantitative and Advocacy teams, you will synthesize insights and articulate them in ways that resonate with our internal and external stakeholders.

While we take pride in our in-house research, we know that research is most impactful when done in collaboration with other partners and the community. To this end, you will also support NVPC’s research projects in partnership with our diverse stakeholders, ranging from the government, non-profit and academic sectors.


  • Push the boundaries of qualitative research through innovative methods, to uncover deep insights on individuals, corporates and/or leaders in the giving space
  • Communicate research insights in a compelling manner to create mindset shift and inspire action, through close work with Advocacy and Quantitative teams
  • Co-manage one or more of NVPC’s flagship research from end to end, from research design to report writing and communication
  • Co-manage vendors and stakeholders to ensure project is completed according to the agreed upon timeline, quality and budget
  • Manage collaborative research projects with partners such as government agencies and institutes of higher learning


  • Bachelor (with Honours) Degree in Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, or other social sciences
  • 3-5 years of experience in doing mixed method research, with a focus on qualitative research
  • Background in market research agency or academic think tank is advantageous
  • Proven experience in project management and stakeholder management.
  • Experience of working with public sector agencies is advantageous.
  • Ability to think laterally to synthesize a wide range of information into meaningful insights
  • Proven experience in one or more of the following research methods: ethnography, behavioral insights, design thinking and/or futures thinking
  • Working level proficiency in SPSS or other research analysis software
  • Able to build partnerships and possess well-developed relationship management skills
  • Intellectually curious
  • Have a growth mindset
  • Self-driven, resourceful and independent
