Team information

The team’s role looks to build a community of givers and ignite a giving movement through corporates. We inspire and activate companies to give strategically, sustainably and impactfully, benefiting both businesses and the community. Companies can tap on opportunities to acquire knowledge, build capabilities, network and collaborate through our various programmes and initiatives.

Our key desired outcomes are to build strategic long-term partnerships with impactful stakeholders with the ability to influence and multiply - to create a self-sustaining community of like-minded givers.

Project

The Company of Good team is in the midst of several engagement projects with the trade associations/chambers, as well as reaching out to current pool of Champions/fellows/past applicants and the public sector agencies to onboard them for further working partnerships through various NVPC/COG programmes. The estimated numbers that the team is following up with is around 35 Public sector agencies, 21 trade associations and 120 Champions, fellows/mentors and past applicants.

Other than managing the details from each of these meetings with the above mentioned stakeholders, timely follow ups on indicated programmes of interest, as well as coordinating with them to help them kick start the relevant programmes (e.g. BLNL sessions, community series, the giving marketplace, Giving Week etc.), and providing the necessary pre-/post- event support and publicity coverage as well. Data entry and timely follow up with the new leads generated from these spin-off COG programmes will also be required to ensure that there is a continuous engagement for the new companies.

In addition, the team would also be require to assist with the review of assessment of past applicants needs/areas of improvement so as to help them improve in their 4Is score for the next round of Champions in 2020.

The intern would be able to liaise and interact with the corporates/public sector agencies during the engagement work, as well as in the various programme development for the stakeholders. He/she would also be able to be gain events management experience from the various programmes.

Responsibilities

Intern #1

  1. Outreach and support to the Trade Associations/chambers to engage them in providing outreach support for COG news/resources, as well as utilising COG programmes as engagement tools for their members (e.g. co-organising a Business Leaders’ Giving Network for their members)
  2. Source and engage TACs who have not responded/new leads to expand network of partners. Provide secretariat support for meetings, and follow up on agreed collaborations
  3. Liaison, coordination and support for the associations and chambers who are keen to co-host COG programmes such as the Business Leaders Giving Network luncheons, community series, Giving Week or other formats of the programmes. To also continuously review the different format of the programme to ensure relevancy for the organisations and generate new leads from these sessions.
  4. Follow up with public sector agencies representatives on a regular basis to engage them with the various COG/NVPC programmes
  5. Support to manage database of contacts/new leads across the various programmes
  6. Ensure proper tracking for all engagements for the stakeholders are done and updated timely.

Intern #2

  1. Support in the current engagement of the Champions and programmes that they would be keen to co-host with NVPC. Liaison, coordination and support for the Champions who are keen to co-host COG programmes such as the Business Leaders Giving Network luncheons, community series, Giving Week or other formats of the programmes. To also continuously review the different format of the programme to ensure relevancy for the organisations and generate new leads from these sessions.
  2. To also support with the analysis/assessment of past applicants 4Is scores and liaison for potential 1-1 reviews; minute taking for further assessments.
  3. To concurrently assist to assess review process of engagement for applicants to ensure effectiveness of such engagements.
  4. Collation of insights and reviews from meetings with Champions – assist with reviews and analysis of past 2 Champions pre-/during/post- event to formulate the processes etc for the upcoming Champions in 2020.
  5. Support database management for all contacts
  6. Other CG related events support – Fellowship etc.

Requirements

  • Interest in CSR
  • Experience in events management would be a plus
