Assistant Director, Corporate Giving

Major duties and responsibilities:

Oversee the successful execution of one or two of the key initiatives established for the Corporate Giving Team, including the coordination of a team and its work plans to successfully complete those key initiatives.

To participate in the department’s planning process for the creation of the strategies and initiatives to meet the mission of the Corporate Giving Team

Provides leadership and influence in collaboration with the other teams within NVPC to secure their support and assistance in the successful execution of the Team’s key initiatives assigned to him/her,

Be the knowledge expert in a particular subject area that will equip corporates and organisations with the knowledge, skills and guidance to begin or improve their giving journey.

People Leadership: Direct a project team and establish the project team direction and goals. Coach staff for staff development and oversees performance management decisions for that project team.



  • Minimum 8 -10 years of working experience with 5 years’ in a management role

  • Minimum 3 years of proven people management experience of a team of at least two persons

  • Excellent knowledge of the corporate giving/corporate social responsibility/ corporate community investment and the not- for-profit sector

  • Project management experience and skills

  • Able to undertake research and be proficient in research methodologies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong leadership abilities, including having managed a team of at least two others.

  • Ability to develop high profile, influential, and collaborative relationships across teams, functions and layers

  • Effective project management experience

  • Demonstrated leadership in creating a dynamic environment oriented toward excellence

  • Ability to establish an independent view, make significant decisions impacting the successful completion of a project and motivate others

  • Passionate about the social sector and engendering a spirit of giving throughout Singapore
