The Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF) is conducting the Health Mapping Exercise for residents living in 2-room flats, this December.  The free door-to-door health checks and health surveys aim to increase awareness about heart disease among the needy residents.

 

SHF is looking for committed and passionate volunteers to be part of this meaningful event. 

 

WHEN
12 December (Friday)


Time of event: 10am – 5pm

 

Volunteering hours:

Shift 1:      9.30am – 1.30pm

Shift 2:      1.00pm – 5.00pm

 

WHERE

Blk 1 Holland Close

 

WHAT CAN YOU DO AS A VOLUNTEER

v      Adult Chaperones –

Ø      Introduce teams and explain purpose of visit to residents

Ø      Act as extra eyes and ears to look out for potential dangers

Ø      Manage situations that students are unable to handle

Ø      Act as translators when necessary

 

SKILLS NEEDED

Ø      Be able to speak dialects, or mother tongue fluently

Ø      Have passion for the elderly

Ø      Love working with students

Ø      Be physically fit able to climb stairs or walk the blocks for up to 4 hours
