Mr. Sim Gim Guan
Mr Sim was appointed Chief Executive Officer of NCSS on 1 November 2013. He spent 23 years in the Republic of Singapore Navy, where he held various leadership appointments. He retired from the Singapore Armed Forces as Chief of Staff – Naval Staff, at the rank of Rear Admiral in June 2006. Mr Sim joined Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA) in August 2006 as Senior Director (Information and Corporate Management). From February 2007, Mr Sim served as the Deputy Secretary (Information and Corporate Management) in MICA, and subsequently, as Deputy Secretary (Industry and Information) from Jul 2012.
Mr Sim currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre and the Charity Council. He was a Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Scholarship recipient and holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology through its Sloan Fellows programme. Mr Sim was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver) (Military) at the National Day Awards 2006.
